Trek for Rights 2024
In 2024, three dedicated teams embarked on the physically demanding and mentally challenging Trek for Rights along the iconic Larapinta Trail. Together, they raised an inspiring $122,641 to support UN Women’s Second Chance Education program.
Against the backdrop of the West MacDonnell Ranges’ breathtaking gorges, red rock slopes, and star-filled skies, participants formed deep connections with like-minded changemakers, united by their shared mission to empower women and girls through education. Their efforts are helping break down barriers that keep millions of women from accessing learning and economic opportunities.
The funds raised support women who have missed out on education due to conflict, poverty, and discrimination – offering them a second chance to gain skills, secure employment, and transform their futures.
Trek for Rights 2024 was more than a journey through Australia’s Red Centre – it was a powerful step toward gender equality.
