Semin Qasmi is a human rights activist and a senior development professional with two decades of experience in gender equality and human rights programming, predominantly in Afghanistan. She has worked in various capacities for the UN, international NGOs and development partners including UN Women, DFAT, Care International, the Canadian International Development Agency, Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBS) and GTZ, with a focus on human rights, ending violence against women, and programming at the development-humanitarian-peace nexus. She has a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from the American University of Afghanistan.
