Priyani is a water engineer with an economics background working in Arup’s water team in Melbourne. Priyani has a range of technical and strategic experience across several locations. Priyani is passionate about using her skills as a water engineer to create a better world – she has led several pro bono and shared value projects with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, run international Design Summits with Engineers Without Borders and mentors young engineers. In 2017, Priyani received the Young Water Professional Award at the Victorian Water Awards.
Most recently Priyani has launched a support collective run by, and for, Black, Indigenous and Women of Colour (BIWOC) working in STEM. This is a safe space for those who face particular, unique challenges in the industry, and an avenue for peer to peer support, networking and mentoring.
