Funded by the Australian Civil-Military Centre, the National Committee has developed a training manual on women, peace and security. This manual provides an overview of the women, peace and security agenda and promotes awareness about the important role that women play in all aspects of peace and security.
Given Australia’s seat on the Security Council and role on the UN Women Board, the National Committee believes that it is both timely, and critical that there is a strong understanding about this agenda within government and civil society.
Over the course of this year, the National Committee have run 6 community based workshops across Australia to raise awareness of these issues and we have provided training to the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Defence Force.
You can distribute this training pack to your networks.
