Support Afghan Women and Girls
Afghan women and girls urgently need your support.
Four years since the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, women and girls have been stripped of their rights and dignity. At least 70 Taliban rules and practices target their bodies, their choices, and their very existence in public life.
New laws allow husbands to “punish” their wives, legitimising domestic violence. Girls as young as 9 can be forced into marriage, their silence treated as consent.
UN Women remains one of the few organisations still operating inside Afghanistan. Despite the many restrictions on women and girls, and the current conflicts, UN Women continues to find ways to operate and stand with those who need support the most.
Providing emergency cash assistance, so women can afford food and medicine. Running women-only safe spaces and where survivors can access counselling, dignity kits, shelter and legal support and supporting women’s organisations.
Please give your tax-time gift TODAY and show Afghan women and girls that the world has not forgotten their struggle.
