The 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67)

The 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67), the UN’s largest annual gathering on gender equality and women’s empowerment, took place from 6-17 March 2023.

From participating in roundtable discussions, side events, and presentations focused on this year’s priority theme, Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girlsto contributing insights into negotiations on the Agreed Conclusions, UN Women Australia’s attendance at CSW67 allowed us to actively contribute to shaping the global discourse on gender equality.

Building on this, UN Women Australia hosted a side-event with the Office for Women to highlight Phase 2 of the Second Chance Education program. Key attendees included representatives from the Australian Government Delegation, CSOs, Aust Mission, and Real Futures, our implementing partner. This event showcased our impactful initiatives, engaging influential members of the Australian delegation and expanding our efforts in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
