The Australian National Committee for UN Women is delighted to announce Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) Business School as a partner in a joint effort to promote gender equality. As UN Women’s exclusive Queensland education partner, QUT Business School will offer a Graduate School of Business Women in Leadership Excellence Scholarship.
Welcoming the partnership, the Executive Dean of the QUT Business School, Professor Robina Xavier, said “This partnership is a wonderful opportunity to build upon the extensive work already being done by QUT to encourage diversity and promote gender equality and women in leadership roles.”
“The Graduate School of Business Women in Leadership Excellence Scholarship will provide women across Australia the opportunity to build the management and leadership skills that current and future generations of leaders will need to excel in the Australian and international business community.
“We share the values and priorities of the Australian National Committee for UN Women: economic empowerment through access to decent work and the promotion of women to leadership roles.”
Australian National Committee for UN Women’s Executive Director, Julie McKay, agreed and said: “We are excited about this partnership, and to expand opportunities for women in business to develop leadership skills.”
“We are particularly excited to announce this new initiative in time to celebrate International Women’s Day this March.”
