Under the theme of ‘Shaping Cities for our Future’, the 2023 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (2023APCS) and Mayors’ Form provided over 1,000 urban leaders from more than 140 cities, representing a billion people, the opportunity to be at the forefront of the conversation on city innovation.

With special invitation from the Brisbane City Council, UN Women Australia CEO, Simone Clarke led an insightful session on the impact of excluding women and marginalised individuals from community design, emphasising how inclusion contributes to women’s economic empowerment and the sustainability of our cities. UN Women Australia were also granted three registrations for emerging women leaders to attend the Summit and one free student registration to the Young Professionals Program.
