Nepal Flood Emergency

Severe flash flooding has devastated communities in Nepal’s Rasuwa District, causing widespread destruction and a mounting death toll, with hundreds killed and thousands missing.
According to the authorities in Nepal, some 10,000 households are in need of immediate relief.

UN OCHA has reported that settlements, markets, roads, bridges and infrastructure were swept away or damaged, roads have been cut off and electricity disrupted.

UN agencies have been deployed to affected areas with food, medical supplies and relief materials in support of the Government-led response.

UN Women is working alongside the Government of Nepal, women’s rights organisations, UN agencies and humanitarian partners to ensure women and girls can access essential services and protection, and that the response is shaped around the needs of women and girls.

Your generous donation today can help make this a reality.

Your gift over $2 is fully tax-deductible in Australia.

*Monthly gifts help us protect more women and girls. By making a monthly donation to UN Women, you will provide women and girls with ongoing relief to help them recover and rebuild.
