Trek for Rights 2025

In 2025, a dedicated team of passionate supporters embarked on the physically demanding and mentally challenging Trek for Rights along the iconic Southern Alps of Aotearoa New Zealand. Together, they raised an inspiring $59,615 to support women and girls impacted by conflict and crises.

On an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking Southern Alps, traversing the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand’s South Island, participants formed deep connections with like-minded changemakers, united by their shared mission to support women and girls trapped in the midst of conflict or the wake of natural disasters. Their efforts are ensuring that women and girls are not left behind in crisis response and recovery.

The funds raised support UN Women’s collaborative efforts on the ground with local women’s organisations, providing critical services, hope, and a lifeline to communities affected by conflict and natural disasters.

Trek for Rights 2025 was more than a journey through the stunning Aotearoa New Zealand landscape – it was a powerful step toward gender equality.
