Alison Terry
Board Chair

Alison brings extensive executive and Board experience to the Board of UN Women Australia.

She currently serves as Lead Independent Director and Deputy Chair on the board of ASX listed company Bannerman Energy Ltd, as well as on the boards of RAC WA Holdings Pty Ltd, RAC Insurance Pty Ltd and St Ives Group. She is Deputy Chair of the Black Swan State Theatre Company of Western Australia and a member of the Curtin University Finance Committee. Her previous non-executive roles include on the boards of NBN Tasmania and the leading industry super fund, AustralianSuper, where she was also a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Until 2022, Alison held the position of Director Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Fortescue Metals Group as a member of Fortescue’s Executive team, having joined Fortescue in 2014.

Previously she held senior executive roles in corporate affairs, legal, company secretarial and general management across a number of businesses including automotive and electric vehicle infrastructure as well as the not-for-profit sector.

She holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma of Business (Accounting) and is a member of Chief Executive Women and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
