Markets for Change empowers women in the Pacific by giving them greater authority in marketplaces, where women are often excluded from market governance and decision making, despite making up approximately 80% of all market vendors in the Pacific.
The UN Women project helps women in rural and urban areas of Fiji, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu become leaders in their local communities by creating safer marketplaces, promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment and by equipping women vendors with the tools to manage their finances.
