Big Data and Artificial Intelligence: Helping to address the UN’s SDGs
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, peace and justice.
This panel will discuss how big data and artificial intelligence can support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in an equitable, inclusive and sustainable way. Ethical issues such as bias and discrimination, governance and privacy will be explored along with lessons applicable to our own businesses; and there will be plenty of opportunity for audience engagement.

Cost: Free, but registration is essential as places are limited
Panel Speakers: Distinguished Professor Kerrie Mengersen, Australian Laureate Fellow and Professor of Statistics at QUT; and Professor Kevin Desouza, Professor of Business, Technology and Strategy at QUT. The conversation will be moderated by Janelle Weissman, Executive Director of UN Women National Committee Australia.
