2017 NETFA Forum: Foundations for Change
The Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health invites you to the annual National Forum on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C): Foundations for Change.
The National Education Toolkit on FGM/C Awareness (NETFA) Project has been working to improve support and raise awareness of FGM/C within Australian communities. Now in its third year, the forum will look at best practice approaches and strategies by looking into international evidence based practices and shaping the actions required within an Australian context.
The all day forum will be opened by international guest speaker, Ms Amina Warsame, from the Network Against FGM/C in Somaliland (NAFIS) followed by a series of panel discussions with leading experts throughout the day.
The forum is open to all interested and especially those working with communities including service providers, government agencies, professional bodies, local governments and members of the Australian community.
Hear from experts, advocates and communities from across Australia as we share knowledge and expertise on securing a future without FGM/C.
