    2017 Central Coast IWD Expo

    #Be Bold for Change #MakeItHappen2017

A celebration of women, their organisations and their contributions to the Central Coast

‘Be Bold for Change’ is the global International Women’s Day theme and our local campaign is to ‘Make it Happen 2017’. Join us on the Central Coast for an informative, inspiring and entertaining event. The Central Coast International Women’s Day (CCIWD) Expo committee represents a network of women and their organisations.

This is an annual family friendly event. All women, men and children are invited to come along to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements women on the Central Coast are making towards women’s issues at local, national and international levels.

The Expo will be run market style with over 50 stalls showcasing local organisations and their activities. A series of presentations and performances will be held on the main stage. Amongst the line-up of entertainment will be the amazing “The Singing Hands Choir” and talented “Coastal a Cappella”. Join ABC Central Coast’s journalist Caroline Perryman in ‘The Conversation’ and be inspired as panellists from across the Central Coast community share their experiences and taking action to help women advance and unleash their potential.

The Expo includes the WOW Wisdom Circle, an informal space providing presentations by remarkable women to share information, tell empowering stories and improve understanding on topics of particular interest to women.
    Guest speakers include:
    – Celebrant & Life Coach Sarah Tolmie at Life & Love
    – Yvonne Lamont, Director WOW Wave of Wisdom
    – Jacquelene Pearson, Truepenny Media
    – Hale Adasal, Convenor at Amnesty International Australia Central Coast.

The 2017 Central Coast International Women’s Day EXPO (CCIWD Expo) is a project of the Central Coast International Women’s Day Expo Committee comprising representatives of Rotary District 9685, University Of Newcastle Ourimbah Campus, Hunter TAFE, Soroptimists International Brisbane Waters; Zonta International; and WOW Wave of Wisdom; Central Coast Community Women’s Health Centre; and Business & Professional Women Central Coast and others.
